Pediatrics: Kidney Cysts

Kidney cysts in children are fluid-filled sacs on the kidneys. Often harmless and found incidentally, they usually cause no symptoms but can sometimes lead to pain or high blood pressure if large. Causes can be genetic or unknown. Most require only monitoring; rarely, intervention is needed. Staying well-hydrated supports kidney health.
