Cystoscopy - What to Expect

A cystoscopy is a common outpatient procedure where a thin, lighted tube (cystoscope) is used to examine the bladder and urethra. It helps diagnose issues like blood in urine or frequent infections. You may experience some discomfort, but numbing gel is typically used, and mild burning or urgency afterward is temporary.
