Urinary Diversion
Urinary diversion is a surgical procedure that creates a new path for urine to exit the body when the bladder can no longer function or has been removed. This is often necessary due to conditions like cancer, severe injury, or certain birth defects. It involves creating an opening (stoma) or an internal pouch, allowing individuals to live full, active lives with appropriate management.
