Ureteral Stent

A ureteral stent is a small, flexible tube temporarily placed in the ureter (the tube connecting your kidney to your bladder) to help urine drain. It's used for blockages (like kidney stones) or after surgery. You might experience flank pain, increased urgency to urinate, or blood in your urine. Staying well-hydrated helps. The stent is removed once healing occurs or the blockage resolves.
